Video: Seun Kuti Speaks up in VDM's Defense

 Following the altercation that occurred after Nollywood actor Iyabo and self-acclaimed activist Martins Vincent Ose better known as VeryDarkMan or VDM attended the wedding ceremony of music star David Adeleke better known as Davido and his wife Chioma, afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has spoken up in defense of VeryDarkMan. The singer called out Iyabo Ojo's partner music promoter Paul Okoye also known as Paul O, for telling his shared friends and associates with VDM to pick a side. The music promoter in defense of his partner, had urged celebrities who had been in attendance at the wedding to choose between their friendship with him and their association with VDM.

Responding to Paul O's ultimatum, Seun Kuti(who is the son of the legendary Fella Anikulapo-Kuti) vehemently declared that the music promoter had no right whatsoever to make that request. The singer asserted that VeryDarkMan is a current necessity to Nigerians and the country. In Seun Kuti's words: "Even if Billionaire Paul O is the one helping my life, he can never order me publicly, VeryDarkMan is a necessity, all elders must earn respect, most of our elders are very greedy and are cowards".
