Video: "Leave Bobrisky Alone" Peter Obi Instructs Law Enforcement Agencies

 Former governor of Anambra state and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, while speaking at a Democracy Day interview with Arise TV, admonished law enforcement agencies in the country on their overzealousness towards trivial matters concerning private citizens. The presidential aspirant emphasized that law enforcement agencies like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have consistently failed to target the real corruption and corrupt practices in the country but have instead, focused on making arrests over trivialities.

Highlighting the arrest and eventual conviction of crossdresser and social media personality Idris Olarewaju Okuneye better known as Bobrisky over charges of naira abuse as stated by the EFCC, Mr Peter Obi emphatically urged the commission and other law enforcement agencies to focus on the prosecution of individuals (such as corrupt officials) who have committed grievous offences via the employment of the powers ascribed their political positions.
