Singer and songwriter David Adeleke better known as Davido, while speaking to guests during his wedding ceremony which held on 25 June 2024 with the hashtag #CHIVIDO24, has revealed his father's vision for the future of his music career. The 30BG king stated that his father, Adedeji Adeleke, had told him on a couple of occasions that he had a vision where he (Davido) ended his musical career as a gospel singer.

Davido is regarded as one of the most important Afrobeats artists of the 21st century, and for popularizing the genre globally. In 2019, New African magazine listed Davido as one of the 100 most-influential Africans and in February 2021, he appeared on Time magazine's Time 100 Next List. In November 2023, Davido received three nominations at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for "Unavailable", "Feel" and his album Timeless. In January 2024, Davido received three nominations at the 55th NAACP Image Awards.
