Video: Arise TV Replaces Ojude Oba Festival with Ofala

Popular TV station, Arise TV, has incurred the anger of the Yoruba people and netizens in general, following a report on the Ojude Oba done by the media house. In a video clip making the rounds on the internet, Arise TV had while giving the report, replaced clips from the recently held Ojude Oba Festival with images and videos from an Ofala festival, a festival annually celebrated by the Igbo tribe.

Reacting to this broadcasting good, netizens blamed the TV station for their unprofessional reporting as well as an inability to differentiate an Igbo set-up from a Yoruba one. They also observed that reporter struggled with pronouncing the word "Ojude Oba". A call for Arise TV to remedy their broadcasting report has been issued the station by netizens, the reporting mistake has been labelled a total disregard of the Yoruba people.
