Nigerian track and field athlete Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan better known as Tobi Amusan, has been cleared of the anti-doping rule violation levelled against her by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on 19 July, 2023. The Court of Arbitration for Sports dismissed the appeals filed by the World Athletics and The World Anti-doping Agency against the decision taken to suspend Ms Amusan in 2023.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed that Tobi did not break any rule and further mandated that no period of ineligibility be imposed on her. In their respective appeal to CAS, WA and WADA had sought the imposition of a two-year period of ineligibility. The CAS Panel held a hearing on 19 January 2024 and subsequently issued it decision dismissing both appeals today, 28th June 2024. Tobi Amusan had been charged with the anti-doping rule violation by the AIU because she missed 3 drug tests within a 12 month period.
