Former vice president of Nigeria and multiple presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has paid a visit to former president, Muhammadu Buhari, in his hometown of Daura, located in Katsina state. The meeting took place on Saturday 22nd June 2024 and the VP was accompanied by a delegation that included Senator Aminu Tambuwal, the immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, and other prominent members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The visit is reportedly Atiku's first visit to the former president Buhari's home in a decade since he lasted visit in the year 2014.

A few days before his courtesy visit and meeting with the former president, Atiku Abubakar paid respective visits to former Military Heads of State, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar in Niger State.
