 Comedian, content creator and skitmaker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu better known as Oga Sabinus or Mr Funny, has launched his own digital currency, SABICOIN. The SABICOIN launch comes just a few weeks after singer and songwriter Davido, introduced his own digital currency $Davido, which reported incurred huge losses for the singer's fans and patrons. According to Sabinus, his digital coin SABICOIN, is "poised to make a significant impact in the world of meme coins."

Netizens have reacted rather negatively to the introduction of SABICOIN, with many reminding potential buyers of the still fresh losses incurred by those who participated in the launch of Davido's digital currency. Some social media users have deciding that the introduction of digital currencies by celebrities is set to become the new model with which celebrities rip off their followers and loyal fans. They also urged intending patrons of the SABICOIN Currency to be vigilant and exercise caution in their dealing with the newly launched currency.
