Following the Democracy Day unveiling of a large canvas portrait of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, netizens have taken to social media to compare the newly unveiled portrait which was reportedly painted on the largest canvas in the world, with the official portrait of Mr Peter Obi during his tenure as governor of Anambra state. Mr Peter Obi's portrait was also edited to reflect a title as the president of Nigeria and commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The president's portrait was unveiled at The Eagle Square in Abuja in commemoration of the Democracy Day celebration where president Tinubu was acclaimed Nigeria's "Hero of Democracy".

In comparing and contrasting the portraits of both politicians, netizens have reached the conclusion that the simple portrait of Mr Peter Obi deserved the honour of hanging in Aso Rock and not that of President Tinubu. They further stated that it was very easy to see which of the two men was the more honourable by a mere glimpse at either of their portraits.
