Photos: Amaechi Muonagor Laid to Rest

 Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor, has been buried in his hometown. The late actor was laid to rest on Friday 21st June 2024, in his hometown of Obosi, located in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra state. The burial ceremony was graced by some Nollywood stars and colleagues of the deceased, with former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi, also in attendance. Amaechi Muonagor passed away at the age of 67 on 24th March 2024, following a prolonged struggle with stroke and paralysis. His battle with the debilitating illness received public attention n November 2023 when he sought financial aid in order to seek medical attention.

In 1989 after his national youth service, Amaechi Muonagor started working with NAN (News Agency of Nigeria). He left his job a few years later for an acting role as "Akunatakasi" in Taboo 1, his first Nigerian film. Known for his comic roles in the Nollywood industry, Amaechi Munagor was nominated for AMVCA 2017 Best Actor In a Comedy.
