Michelle Obama Announces Mother's Death

 Former First Lady of The United States of America, Michelle Obama, has taken to her official social media page to announce the passing of her mother, Marian Robinson. The former first lady's mother died at the age of 86 on the morning of Friday 31st May, 2024. She was survived by her two children Craig and Michelle, her son in-law, former American president Barack Obama, daughter-in-law Kelly Robinson as well as seven grandchildren.

Mrs Robinson who had lived with the Obama's during their time at the White House, was fondly remembered for her good humour and love of children. Expressing her grief over her mother's passing and extolling her unique qualities, Michelle Obama wrote: "My mom Marian Robinson was my rock, always there for whatever I needed. She was the same steady backstop for our entire family, and we are heartbroken to share she passed away today." 

May the deceased soul of Marian Robinson rest in peace.
