Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu has rewarded the best graduating student of the Lagos State University, Olaniyi Olawale, with the sum of 10 million naira Sanwo-Olu announced this on Thursday 6th June, at the university’s 27th convocation grand finale in Lagos. The recipient of the 10 million naira prize, Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, graduated with a CGPA of 4.98 from the Faculty of Education (Accounting).

Giving his valedictorian speech on Wednesday 5th June, the best graduating student, Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale stated that he was of his achievements despite his humble beginnings as the son of a wood seller and growing up without his deceased mother. The best graduating student stated that in his entire time at the university, he had received only two B grades despite combining his academics with his day job as a fashion designer.
