Following the rather halting performance of America's president Joe Biden in a CNN debate with former president and now presidential candidate, Donald Trump, speculations have risen as to the president's current mental state. Americans who observed Joe Biden's incoherent state during the debate process, have opined that the 81 year old president who's up for reelection, is suffering from the brain disease, dementia.

In an attempt to defend his baffling behaviour during the debate, president Biden's campaign team claimed that he was battling a cold. Shortly after the debate, vice president Kamala Harris acknowledged that the president had a “slow start” but claimed that he had finished strong. The debate which lasted 90 minutes, was a critical moment in Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s presidential rematch to make their cases before a national television audience. The president's disastrous performance has reportedly pitched his reelection bid into crisis, according to the polls.
