13 Year Old Arrested for Rape of 8 Year Old Girl

 An unnamed thirteen year old boy has been arrested and paraded in a line up of other criminals by operatives of The Gombe State Police Command for the  rape of an 8 year old girl. During a press briefing at the command's headquarters located in the state capital, Public Relations Officer of  The Gombe State Police Command, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, revealed that the 13 year old had forcefully lured his 8 year old victim to a lonely path, where he proceeded to rape her. The sordid incident occurred in the Akko Local Government Area of the state where a series of other filed cases on the defilement of minors have been reported in the last one week.

The Police PRO in providing further details on the sexual defilement of the young girl(who received immediate medical attention) stated: "On 24th May 2024, a formal complaint was received at Akko Division that on the 22nd May 2024, the suspect dragged an eight year old girl to a corner and had canal knowledge of her." ASP Buhari Abdullahi also firmly assured that the increase in rape cases in Gombe is currently receiving utmost attention of the state government as the Department of Public Prosecutions has undertaken the task of bringing all sexual offenders to book.
