A woman resident in Cornwall Close, Hornchurch, London, identified as Angeline Mahal, has died after she was by her two registered XL bully dogs. Armed police went into her home on the afternoon of Monday 21st May, but all efforts by paramedics to administer CPR proved abortive. Angeline Mahal who had been determined to be in her fifties and a mother of two, was declared dead at the scene with the two registered dogs seized after being contained in a room.

Speaking of the attack to policemen, neighbours of the deceased reported hearing a lot of barking on the day the two bully dogs attacked their owner. A relative who preferred to remain anonymous also stated that Ms. Mahal had had the two dogs since they were puppies. While revealing that Angeline has been repeatedly urged to give up the dogs after a prior reported bully dog attack in Jaywick where a grandmother died, the unnamed relative advised XL bully dog owners to "do the right thing if they spot their pets becoming aggressive and give them up" as Angeline's family would not want any other family to go through the same thing they did.
