A viral video on social media has shown a man refilling a water fountain at Ochanja roundabout in Onitsha, Anambra State, using kegs, exposing the poor maintenance of the recently constructed fountain.

The fountain, built in March by Governor Charles Soludo, was intended to transform a former refuse dump site.

However, as Chude Nnamdi noted on social media, "Water fountain is one of the most difficult structures to maintain, especially in a country where there's no steady electricity."

Nnamdi criticized the project, saying, "When Soludo embarked on building this Water Fountain at the Ochanja Roundabout, many of us pointed this out. Now, take a look at the mediocre project after a few months of commissioning."

He suggested that a simple flyover on that axis would have been a better and more beneficial investment for the people.
