Pastor and Wife Receive Respective Prison Sentence for Sexual Crimes

 A 60 year old Nigerian pastor resident in The UK, has been handed a 34 year prison sentence after he was charged with multiple counts of rape. The now convicted pastor named Michael Oluronbi, reportedly raped his multiple victims(women and children) on 88 separate occasions. The pastor who was found guilty in January in a trial where his actions were described by a judge as ''one of the worst cases of sexual abuse of multiple children to come before the courts''.

Some of Michael Oluronbi's crimes were committed after he convinced victims, 5 of whom attended his church(a Celestial Church), to take part in 'spiritual bathing', which he claimed would ''cleanse'' them of evil spirits. During the trial at Birmingham Crown Court, a jury heard that some of his young female victims who became pregnant multiple times were taken to abortion clinics by Oluronbi, to cover up his sexual crimes. The convicted rapist's wife, Juliana, was also convicted on three count charges of of aiding and abetting rape after helping arrange some of the terminations. She was handed an 11 year old prison sentence for her role as accessory to the sexual crimes.
