A commercial motorcyclist aka Okada Rider, has been arrested by operatives of The Ogun State Police for the alleged sexual assault of his female passenger. The okada rider named Afeez Mustapha, had been conveying the unnamed passenger to the agreed destination when he had suddenly changed directions and diverted to a route unknown to her. Upon reaching the deserted location, he had taken advantage of the solitude to sexually assault the victim.

Confirming the arrest of the okada rider in a statement posted on the social media platform X on Friday 10th May 2024, Public Relations Officer of The Ogun State Police, Omolola Odutola, revealed that Afeez Mustapha has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. According to the PRO's statement: "Commercial motorcycle rider arrested for rape on May 9, 2024. One Afeez Mustapha is in SCID for sexual assault of a female passenger, after diverting to a route different from that of the passenger.”
