Three weeks after the arrest, arraignment and subsequent bail of businessman and self-acclaimed celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, on charges of naira abuse by the EFCC, Cubana Chief Priest has reportedly reached an out of court settlement with the EFCC. The businessman reached an agreement at his first court sitting following his bail, which took place on Thursday 2nd May, 2024. The hearing of the settlement report between Cubana Chief Priest and the EFCC is set hold on 5th June, 2024.

On 16 April 2024, Cubana Chief Priest was arrested by operatives of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on charges of naira abuse. On 17th April, one day after his arrest, the celebrity barman who according to the EFCC, had abused the currency by "spraying" money on 13 February 2024, at a social event which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, was granted a 10 million naira bail with two sureties in like sum by a Federal High Court in Lagos. Cubana Chief Priest 's arrest and arraignment in April occurred just a few days after crossdresser and social media personality Idris Olarewaju Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, was arraigned and sentenced by the court to a six month prison sentence for naira abuse.
