Following Ochanya Chelle's post, many Facebook friends of the deceased and acquaintances of the family, have awoken speculations regarding Margaret's death. It has been alluded to that the mother of two committed suicide as a result of the maltreatment and subsequent abandonment she faced at the hands of an estranged husband who was resident abroad.
According to reports, the deceased Margaret had been suffering severe bouts of depression caused by her marital woes, which led to run out of the house she had been sharing at City College, Abacha Road, in Mararaba with her family. Shortly after Margaret had been declared missing, her mother while speaking to the press in a bid to find her daughter stated: She is my daughter. She was 27 years old and married with two children. She has been missing now for four days. We are staying at City College, Abacha Road, in Mararaba. We were sleeping, and she opened the door and ran out at around 3:30am."
