Kogi Lecturer Stripped By Students Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

A senior lecturer at Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, was publicly humiliated on Friday after being accused of making sexual advances towards a female student.

The lecturer, whose name remains unknown, angered female undergraduates in the English Department, where he teaches, and they demanded his public humiliation, declaring "his actions have caught up with him."

The lecturer was stripped down to his boxers, but the school's security unit intervened to spare him further embarrassment.

During questioning, the lecturer implicated his colleagues, suggesting they provided him with names of students to "pass or fail" based on their relationships with female students.

The university's spokesperson, Mr. Daniel Iyke, confirmed that the management is aware of the incident and has initiated an investigation.

According to Iyke, "The university has its own internal mechanism for taking care of it. The report has been brought to the attention of the Vice-Chancellor, and he has set up a body to look into it. This was done immediately, and the report or outcome will be made known as soon as it comes out. At this point, this is all I can volunteer."

The alleged victim and her father, a serving policeman, were unavailable for comment as they were shielded from interacting with reporters.
