Kidnappers Fall Asleep on the Job, Pastor's Wife Escapes

 A bizarre incident has led to the arrest of five suspected kidnappers in Ondo State. The suspects had abducted a pastor's wife and two others, but their plan was foiled when they fell asleep due to the effects of hard drugs.


The victims, including the pastor's wife, managed to escape when their captors were asleep. The suspects, identified as Garuba Mumuni (27), Yusuf Tale (21), Kabiru Muhammed (16), Shaibu Umar, and Adamu Mohammed (22), were later arrested by the police.

According to the police, the suspects were apprehended after the victims identified one of them. The police stated, "A case of kidnapping was reported at Ofosu Division, where a pastor's wife and a church member were kidnapped, along with a third victim who was taken while picking snails at a farm. The victims escaped from their assailants at different dates after they had taken hard drugs and slept off."


The suspects are currently in police custody, facing charges related to kidnapping. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of drug abuse and its potential consequences.
