Helicopter Crash: Iranians Bid Farewell to President

 Following the helicopter crash of Sunday 19 May 2024, which led to the death of the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi and several other high ranking Iranian ministers, millions of Iranians have gathered to bid farewell to the deceased president and the members of his cabinet. The gathering of multitudes is despite the fact that president Raisi's death received mixed reactions among the public in Iran, with some mourning and others celebrating. The funeral service of the deceased president commenced on the morning of Tuesday, 21st May, 2024 and will be concluded on the Thursday 23rd May, with president Raisi being buried in his birthplace, Mashhad.

Ebrahim Raisolsadati commonly known as Ebrahim Raisi served as the eighth president of Iran from 2021 until his death in May 2024, at the age of 63. Raisi was married to Jamileh Alamolhoda, an associate professor at Tehran's Shahid Beheshti University and president of the university's Institute of Fundamental Studies of S science and Technology. The deceased president and his wife had two daughters together as well as two grandchildren.
