Video: Fire Outbreak at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital

 The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service today put off a fire outbreak at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).


The incident it was gathered originated in the ICT room of the institutional hospital located at the Hematology Clinic of the Pre-Pharmacy block.



 The prompt action from the Ikeja Fire Station, was said to have contained the fire within its point of origin, preventing it from spreading to other areas.

A statement released by the service says the emergency alert was received at 14:22 hours on Thursday, prompting an immediate response from them.



 Fortunately, the diligent efforts of the responders led to the successful extinguishing of the fire without any casualties.


While the immediate threat has been neutralized, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has initiated an investigation into the cause of the incident.


 This proactive measure aims to identify any underlying factors contributing to the fire outbreak, ensuring that appropriate measures can be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
