Three persons from the Kabala Doki community in Kaduna State's Kaduna North Local Government Area tragically lost their lives after consuming expired medications.
Two more young individuals are currently hospitalized due to the effects of expired drugs.
Residents suspect that the expired drugs may have originated from vehicles seized and later auctioned by customs at the Kabala Doki Area Command a few days earlier, during which the victims were involved in the evacuation of the vehicles.

The deceased individuals were identified as Abdulsalam Lawal, Ibrahim Kabiru, and Muhammad Auwal Abubakar.
On Tuesday, April 9, the ward leader of Kabala Doki, Danlami Bawa, disclosed that the youths had unknowingly kept the expired medications for future use during the Eid celebration.
Bawa revealed that one of the victims, who passed away on Monday, April 8, admitted to consuming the expired drugs and distributing them to others.
The Public Relations Officer of the Customs Area Command in Kabala Doki, Muhammad Amin, clarified that their responsibility was solely to auction off vehicles, and they were unaware of how or where the youths obtained the expired drugs.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansur Hassan, stated that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the cause of the youths' deaths.
