Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with an alleged embezzlement of over ₦8 billion related to the Nigerian Air scandal.
Sirika was taken into custody at the EFCC's Federal Capital Territory Command around 1:00 pm on Tuesday and is currently being questioned by investigators.

The alleged fraud involves suspicious contracts awarded to Engirios Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his younger brother, Abubakar Sirika.
The investigation is ongoing, and Sirika is facing scrutiny for his role in authorizing these contracts."
