Popular Nigerian singer Davido has made a bold claim about his family's involvement in the country's electricity distribution.
During an appearance on the American podcast "Business Untitled," Davido revealed that his family owns four power plants that significantly contribute to Nigeria's energy needs.
He stated, "My family and I own four power plants worth a substantial amount of money, and we distribute energy to a large part of Nigeria."
Davido's revelation may indicate the extensive reach and influence of his family's business ventures in the energy sector.

In addition to discussing his family's business dealings, Davido also shared his personal investment interests, including a brief exploration of cryptocurrency. He mentioned that Nigeria has a significant presence in the crypto market, which sparked his initial interest.
He said his main focus remains his music career, which he emphasized as his true passion and primary business.
Davido also mentioned his wife's culinary endeavors, indicating that they are working on opening a restaurant for her.
“I once tried to go into cryptocurrency because Nigeria is big on crypto. Apart from that, me and my family have like four power plants worth a lot of money. We distribute energy to most of Nigeria.
“My wife is into culinary. We are trying to start a restaurant for her. But my main business is what I love; my music.”
