Junior Pope's Family Announces Funeral Plans

 Two weeks after the tragic death of Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo better known as Junior Pope, in a boating accident that occurred on 10th April 2024, while they the actor and other crew members had been returning from a movie location in Asaba, the Delta state capital, his family has publicly released plans for his funeral. According to the arrangement signed by a certain Dr Divine Odonwodo on behalf of the family, Junior Pope whose funeral rites will hold from 13th to 19th May 2024, will be buried in his hometown named Ukehe located in the Nsukkaa Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu state.

43 year old John Paul Obumneme Odonwodo was survived by his wife, three sons, many siblings and his two parents. Popular for his roles in the Nollywood industry, Junior Pope started his acting career in 2006 and gained national attention when he starred in Secret Adventure, a film directed by Tchidi Chikere in the year 2007.  Until his tragic and untimely death, Junior Pope appeared in over 150 films and was widely praised for his acting skills.
