April Fools' Day Prank: Ali Baba Refutes Triplets Claim

One day after 59 year old veteran comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Alibaba, announced the birth of his triplets, the comedian has revealed that the announcement was an "April Fool" prank on Nigerians. Alibaba took to his Instagram account on Monday 1st April 2024, to announce that he had welcomed the fictitious triplets with his 56 year old wife, Mary, to whom he had been married since 2006 and already has 5 prior children with. 

It will be recalled that on 1st April, many celebrities took to their various social media platforms to announce multiple births and pregnancies which were later deemed a part of the numerous April Fools' Day pranks played on unsuspecting victims around the world.

April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day is an annual custom on 1 April consisting of practical jokes and hoaxes. Jokesters often expose their actions by shouting "April Fools!" at the recipient. Mass media can be involved with these pranks, which may be revealed as such the following day. The custom of setting aside a day for playing harmless pranks upon one's neighbour has been relatively common in the world historically.
