Adamawa Man Stabs Wife to Death for Seizing His Phone

 The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 33-year-old man, Ibrahim Abubakar, for stabbing his 25-year-old wife, Hajara Sa’adu to death.


 Abubakar, a butcher from Sabon Gari-Futy in Girei local government area, reportedly attacked his wife multiple times with a sharp knife, causing severe injuries and leaving her in a pool of blood.


According to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the State Command Public Relations Officer, the suspect committed the heinous act around 4:30 am on April 8, following a minor argument sparked by accusations that his wife had taken his phone.

Abubakar was apprehended after the deceased's father reported the incident to the police, leading to a preliminary investigation that uncovered evidence linking him to the crime scene. 



He confessed to the crime and expressed remorse for killing the mother of their only child.


CP Dankombo Morris, the state commissioner of police, expressed dismay over the tragedy and assured the public that the command would ensure the perpetrator is prosecuted diligently.
