Video: Man Swims Across Third Mainland Bridge

 A Nigerian swim coach identified as Dare Akinrodoye also referred to as Coach Dre, reportedly swum the entire length of the Third Mainland Bridge on Saturday 30th March 2024. According to reports the swim coach went across the entire 11.8km length of the Third Mainland Bridge in a recorded time of two hours and thirty-three minutes.

Speaking of his decision to swim across the bridge(from Oworonshoki to Adeniji), Coach Dre revealed that he had done so in order to raise public awareness on mental issues, especially issues relating to suicide and depression. The Third Mainland Bridge is the second-longest bridge in Africa and the swimmer, Dare Akinrodoye, is reportedly the first Nigerian on record to have swum the entire length of the bridge.
