It remains uncertain whether the man underwent an X-ray examination or if authorities waited for the drugs to be expelled naturally.

Subsequently, he was transferred to Suvarnabhumi Airport Police Station for legal proceedings.

The Director General of Customs, Thirach Attanawanich, emphasized an intensified crackdown on drug smuggling, aligning with the government's anti-drug initiatives.

He highlighted a surge in vigilance, reporting 74 drug confiscations from October 1, 2023, to March 25, 2024, totaling over 412 million baht, compared to 185 arrests and seizures amounting to 1.17 billion baht between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
