Man Reportedly Removes Shop Neighbour’s Scrotum During A Fight In Lagos

 A 33-year-old man identified as Dominic Kenneth, was on Wednesday paraded before an Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for causing grievous harm to his neighbor, Pascal Uche, by removing his scrotum.

 Kenneth, whose address remains undisclosed, pleaded not guilty to the accusation.

According to Prosecutor Christian Okonofua, the alleged incident took place on 1 March at around 12:20 p.m. at No 1, Abdul Rasaq Street, Balogun area of Ikorodu.

Okonofua said Kenneth unlawfully caused grievous harm to Uche, a co-shop owner in the market, by reportedly removing one scrotum during a confrontation.

 The offence is said to contravene Section 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which stipulates a seven-year prison term if found guilty. 

Magistrate A.O. Onalaja granted Kenneth bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties, with the case adjourned until 14 March for mention.
