Abia Police Invade Baby Factory: Rescue 16 Pregnant Women

 Operatives of The Abia State Police Command have busted a baby factory operation in the Aba area of the state, on Thursday 7th March, 2024. The bust also led to the rescue of sixteen pregnant women found within the premises of the baby factory(a four storey building which comprised ten flats) as well as eight children -five males and three females. Parading the inmates of the busted baby factory on Friday 8th March, an operative of the Rapid Response Squad who led the operation said that the rescue of the inmates followed credible information provided law enforcement officers by locals.

Speaking to the press, Ths Abia State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Ngozi Felix, represented by her Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Ogechi Oguama, expressed her excitement at the rescue operation while  bemoaning the fact that most of the nefarious activities regarding the buying and selling of children, are poverty-driven. The commissioner via her spokesperson, urged parents to be open to their children and train them on the right tradition so as to ensure that they make the right choices for themselves as teenagers and young adults.
