A 26 year old woman identified as Omorogbe Jennifer Soni, has been arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command for assault, after she was captured on camera assaulting a policeman in Ajah on February 21, 2024. The incident occurred when the accused engaged in a heated argument with the policewoman and in the process, shoved her, causing the officer to fall to the ground.

In a statement released by the spokesperson of the Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, he revealed that Ms. Omorogbe was arraigned the following day, February 22, 2024 at the Etiosa Magistrate Court, Ajah and has been remanded at the Kirikiri Female Correctional Centre till the next hearing slated for March 27, 2024. Warning intending assaulters of officers of the law, the police spokesperson and public relations officer stated: "The Lagos State Police Command advices Lagosians to remain law-abiding in their day-to-day activities with all and sundry as anyone found guilty of violating the law would be dealt with in accordance with the law.’’
