RCCG Pastor Rapes and Impregnates Teenage Daughter

 A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Wisdom Tabernacle Parish, located in the Lawanson area of Surulere, Lagos state, was on Tuesday 27 February, arraigned before the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, for repeatedly raping and impregnating his 17 year old daughter.The state prosecution counsel, Mrs Abimbola Abolade, told the court that the defendant named Emmanuel Orekoya,  committed the crimes sometime in 2017 at Jacob Adeleye Street, Odoeran, Itire area of the state.

 Mrs Abolade(the state prosecutor) also told the court that Mr Orekoya had forced his daughter, the victim, to perform various acts of oral simulation on his person and has also inserted his fingers in her privates. The prosecutor charged that the crimes committed by the accused, contravene Section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015.

In November 2022, in a viral video allegedly featuring the daughter of RCCG Wisdom Tabernacle Parish Lawason Lagos pastor Orekoya Emanuel, the teenager had claimed that her biological father had sexually abused her for more than two years, while her mother remained unaware of his deeds. The defendant, Emmanuel Orekoya, who is faced with a two-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse and sexual assault, entered a not guilty plea. Justice Soladoye adjourned the case until 17 April 2024, a date slated for trial commencement.
