President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria after spending two weeks out of the country. The president who left Nigeria for France on January 24th 2024, on what described as a "private visit", returned to the country on Tuesday 6th February at about 8:50pm. Before the president left the country, his Special Adviser (media and publicity) Ajuri Ngelale, issued a statement that the president would return from France in the first week of February.
The presidency had also assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu was on top of domestic challenges in the country despite being on a foreign trip to France. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had publicly emphasized that president had taken crucial decisions regarding the various situations in the country, despite his thirteen day absent. Mr Onanuga had also affirmed that the president despite his "private visit" to France, had been in constant communication with the members of his cabinet and special advisers.
