A 35 year old man from Lusaka, Zambia identified as Fanwell Banda, has dragged his wife to court in order to initiate divorce proceedings as a result of her inability to overcoming her gambling addiction. Appearing before the Lusaka Local Court Resident Magistrate, Sylvia Kabunda, Fanwell lamented that his 31 year old wife of six years, Faith Mulongoti, a devout member of the Bread of Life Church, had turned him into collateral and that she constantly subjected him to paying off her huge betting debt.

Bandell sorrowfully told the magistrate that his wife's problem started in 2020 when she joined a village banking group and afterwards, became a Bolabet and Aviator Game addict. The frustrated husband further revealed that his wife's betting addiction reached its limit when she gambled with all of the money and his phone and even claimed at some point that wizards had stolen the phone after she hid the device, so she she feed her addiction at odd hours. Faith Mulongti had attempted to convince her husband of the presence of the supposed wizards in their home by planting evidence of witching activities around their home.
