Lagos Police Announces Movement Restriction In Surulere

 The Lagos State Police has in a statement released on the social media platform X, by spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundenyin, announced a restriction of movement in the Surulere Local Government Area(Federal Constituency 1) of the state. According to the statement, the restriction which is as a result of the bye-elections set to hold in the area on Saturday 3rd February 2024, affects only Surulere LGA, not the entire state. The police reassured other Lagos residents to go about their regular activities as they remain entirely unaffected by the restriction

Despite the restriction of movement solely affecting Surulere, the police public relations officer stated that Funsho Williams Avenue, a suburb of Surulere, will be free for passage only. SP Benjamin Hundenyin also cautioned that movement into and out of feeder roads off Funsho Williams Avenue, will not be permitted.
