Lagos Bishop Receives Life Sentence for Raping Church Member

 Founder and General Overseer of iReign Christian Ministry, Bishop Feyi Daniels,  has been handed a life sentence for the rape and sexual assault of  four members(including his assistant pastor) of his church. The accused clergyman was found guilty and handed his sentence on Friday 26th January 2024 by trial judge, Rahman Oshodi, of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court.

Feyi Daniels who was arraigned by the Lagos State Government,  was accused of sexually assaulting three of his church members at his residence in Lekki and on his church premises in Ikeja. In May 2023, the general overseer was remanded in court for allegedly raping a 25 year old woman at his Lekki residence.The church member had testified in court that the cleric had had sex with her during a prayer session, while speaking in tongues. In addition to the life sentence handed Feyi Daniels, as mandated by law, his name will be included in the Sexual Offenders Register of Lagos State.
