Father and Son Arrested for Raping Teenage Daughter/Sister

 A father and son identified as Michael and Abiola Ayinde, aged 51 and 19 years old respectively, have been remanded by a family court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, for the alleged rape of their 17 year old relative. According to reports Michael was remanded by the magistrate, Mrs O.O Ogunkanmi, for the sexual defilement of his daughter at his residence located in the Agboti Olosan area, Alakia, Ibadan. His son and brother of the victim, Abiola Ayinde was also remanded for the unlawful sexual defilement of his younger sister, an act which left her pregnant.

The Magistrate who refrained from accepting the father and son's plea, ordered that they be remanded at the Abolongo Correctional Facility in Oyo State. The court also adjourned the case until 21st February, 2023 for further proceedings. The charges filed against Michael and Abiola  Ayinde by the prosecution, are in violation of section 34 of the Oyo State Child Rights Law, 2006.
