Alhaji Aliko Dangote has retained his position as Africa's richest person with a net worth of $13.9 billion, in the 2024 Forbes list of 20 of Africa’s Richest billionaires.
The Forbes list released yesterday says the last 12 months had the fortunes of Africa’s wealthiest people slightly rebound for the past 12 months.
The media outfit in its report says the 20 billionaires on the 2024 Forbes list of Africa’s Richest were worth a combined $82.4 billion, which was up $900 million from last year’s $81.5 billion.

The Chairman of telecom company, Globacom, Mike Adenuga was ranked the 5th richest man in Africa with a $6.9 billion net worth.
Another Nigerian, Femi Otedola was slso named among the 20 richest persons in Africa.
Otedola who is the Executive Chairman of Geregu Power Plc and a Non-Executive Director FBN Holdings, listed as the 19th richest person in Africa with a net worth of $1.1 billion.
