The dead bodies of two brothers identified as Onyema and Nonso, have been discovered in the boot of their Toyota Corolla which was found abandoned along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, close to Tempo Mills, Umunya, Anambra State. In a video that circulated on the internet on Sunday January 28, the deceased men whose corpses had initially been mistaken as the bodies of a husband and wife, had reportedly lost their lives while trying to escape a kidnapping attempt.

A certain Venerable Emmanuel Onovo, took to Facebook to reveal that the brothers had been members of the Anglican community in Anambra state. The cleric further stated that the duo had been returning home from a church programme which held at Oguta located in the Onitsha area of the state, when they had been waylaid and subsequently lost their lives. The clergyman also confirmed that he had extended his condolences and prayers to the parents of the deceased brothers via phone call.
