Akeredolu's Corpse Arrives Nigeria

 Nine days after his demise, the body of deceased governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has arrived Nigeria. The governor passed away  on 27th December while receiving treatment in Germany following a protracted battle with prostate cancer. Akeredolu's corpse was received by family and friends, while governors of Lagos, Ogun and Osun states sent their respective representatives.

Fondly referred to as "Aketi', Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu was a Nigerian lawyer and politician who served as governor of Ondo State from 24 February 2017 until his death on 27 December 2023 at the age of 67. The deceased governor who had been receiving treatment in Germany, died in his sleep after a protracted battle with prostate cancer. Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was survived by his wife, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu with whom he had four children as well as grandchildren.
