Video: "Love is not Enough to Stay in a Marriage" Damilola Adegbite Speaks on Failed Marriage to Chris Attoh

On an episode of the talk show "With Chude", Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite, while speaking to Chude Jideonwo, has given insight regarding her failed marriage to Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh. In the interview, Damilola revealed that in the course of her two year marriage to Chris, she discovered that love was not enough to sustain a marriage. The actress also stated that she had never regretted all of the occurrences in her personal life as they made her the woman she had become. She further stressed that she preferred to keep most of her experiences in her failed marriage private as she had a son who deserved to hear those things from her before the world did.

Speaking on her current relationship with Chris Attoh, Damilola stated that the only regard she had for him was as the father of her son. In August 2014, Adegbite got engaged to Chris Attoh, a fellow actor she met on set of the soap opera Tinsel. In September 2014, the couple welcomed their son Brian. Adegbite and Attoh married privately in Accra, Ghana on 14 February 2015. In September 2017, news broke that Adegbite's marriage to husband Chris Attoh had crashed. Adegbite had sparked split rumours after she deleted Chris Attoh's surname from her social-media accounts. She unfollowed him on Instagram and deleted all photos of him from her social media account. Hours later, in an interview, Chris Attoh confirmed his marriage to Damilola Adegbite was over.
