Medical Doctor Arrested for Killing Pregnant Patient

 A medical doctor identified as Happiness Enyinnaya Iheukeumere and popularly referred to as Dr Hagi of Hagi Medical Center, has been arrested for the murder of his 20 year old pregnant patient. According to reports, Dr Hagi whose hospital is located at Abohga Igwuruta Market Road in the city of Port Harcourt, performed an unneeded Caesarean section on the pregnant woman to remove her baby. Unfortunately the woman named Racheal Sampson did not survive the procedure and it alleged that the doctor performed the surgery in order to sell the infant. This is the second time news of Dr Hagi's dealings has made to the public as the doctor was first arrested in October 2023 for allegedly trafficking four children in different parts of the country. He was however granted bail on account of insubstantial evidence.

Narrating the family's ordeal, sister of the deceased stated that Dr Hagi told them via an anonymous caller that Racheal had died in a car accident. She also revealed that the family had been entirely unaware of the deceased's pregnant state. In her words: "On the 15th of November, 2023, an anonymous lady called us to inform us that my sister had died in a car crash. The informant sent us a fake number and told us that she got from the tip-off from that number. We asked her where my sister’s d£ad body was deposited and she couldn’t say. We tried contacting the number she sent but it proved abortive. Then, my parents went to Aba in search of my late sister’s body since an accident happened there. But the police and medical personnel told my parents that no woman did at the scene of the accident. We reported the development to the police and they helped us to track the anonymous lady who gave us the tip-off. The anonymous lady had claimed that she was POS agent and resided at Choba in Rivers State but that was false as we found out that she was a nurse."
