In a post that expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life, Nollywood actress Iretiola Doyle, has recounted how she nearly died from carbon monoxide poisoning. In her post on her official social media account, the actress posted that on 19th November 2023, barely thirty minutes after taking the photos that accompanied her post, she was found unconscious and foaming at the mouth in a car that had been meant to drive her to her destination-a tertiary institution where she had been scheduled as a speaker.

The actress also thanked God for the alignment of the best personnel Nigeria could offer in order to save her life- from the doctors to people-who put in their best efforts to ensure that she survived the ordeal. Clarifying her near death experience as a "bizarre case of carbon monoxide poisoning" through inhalation from the car's AC vents, Iretiola Doyle implored the public to be alert as to the triggers of the silent killer that is carbon monoxide.
