‘I’m From Southwest Nigeria – Ghanaian Singer, Stonebwoy Identifies His Yoruba Roots

 Popular Ghanaian singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla, more known as Stonebwoy has revealed that he has Nigerian roots.


Stonebwoy, who hails from the Ewe tribe of Ghana, said his ancestors were from the ancient Oyo Kingdom in Nigeria.


Stonebwoy narrated that his tribe, Ewe, were the original settlers of Ilesha in Osun State.

The dancehall star made this known in a recent chat with popular property influencer, Ola of Lagos.



Stonebwoy while speaking in Pidgin, said:


 “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba"
