FAAN Bans Use of "Ghana Must Go" Bags at Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has banned the use of jute bags popularly known as "Ghana Must Go", by passengers across international airports in Nigeria. In a memo released by FAAN, titled, ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage Of Ghana Must Go’, signed by Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, dated November 24, it was stated that the sack was banned by the authorities because it has caused airlines huge losses and also damaged conveyor belt systems at airports across the country. The Manager further stressed that travellers who wish to use the "Ghana Must Go" bags must have the bags packaged in cartons or hardcover protective wraps of rectangular shapes.
