"Tinubu Inherited a Dead Economy" Soludo Declares

 Governor of Anambra State Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has stated that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu took over a dead economy from former president Muhammadu Buhari. The governor made this assertion while being interviewed on the Channels Television show, Politics Today, on Thursday 24th November 2023. Professor Soludo who's also a former Central Bank Governor, analysed the naira decline and blamed past violations of the Central Bank's establishment laws as strong reason for the decline. He also accused past management of the Apex bank of illegally granting trillions in unbacked financing.

Explaining why he believes Bola Ahmed Tinubu Inherited a "dead economy", Professor Soludo stated: “I said it before. This particular government inherited a dead economy from a microeconomic point of view, this government inherited a dead horse that was seen standing but people didn’t know that it was dead. I think it’s important for Nigerians to understand this.”
