The Transmission Company of Nigeria has released a public statement vehemently denying the claim made The Daily Post stating that there will be national blackout as a result of a strike action. The TCN labelled the publication by The Daily Post "false and totally misleading" as well as "mischievous and baseless. The Transmission Company of Nigeria assured Nigerians that the nation's grid is intact and supplying bulk electricity to distribution load centers nationwide. Issuing stern warning in the public release, the Transmission Company of Nigeria urged that reports be made with a sense of responsibility and not just to cause panic.

Reacting to the claim contained in the press release by the TCN, many Nigerians have slammed the company for their ineffectual mode of operation with a huge number of netizens affirming that power supply had indeed failed in their respective neighborhoods at a collective time of about 11:30 pm on Monday 13th November, 2023 despite the denial of a nationwide blackout by The Transmission Company of Nigeria. These group of Nigeria firmly maintain that power is yet to be restored to there location since the alleged commencement of the now debunked "nationwide blackout".
